Ah, lately I've been playing a lot more MvC2 and 3s. Usually I just play 3s with Dance Grenade, since he is pretty close and knows the game better then a lot people I know. 

For the most part I played with the usual suspects, Chun-Li and Ken. I'm decent with Chun, well, anyone can be decent with her I guess. Even Ken requires a little bit of skill and mix up game to play with. That I, for the most part lack with him.  

So, out of random boredom I chose Makoto. I played with her before, but at the time I didn't have the patience to learn a character of her nature. She was pure rush downs and mix ups, and I didn't really understand the concept of those things in 3s. 
 
Now that I somewhat understand the game, I picked her up and she sort of just fell in my lap in the kind of play style I like. Same with 3s Ryu. So right now I'm playing Makoto/Ryu/Chun.

We need to play 3s. Play on GGPO. Lets go.

Its sad that my old psn is being used by my 30 year old brother in law. Its been 2 or 3 weeks since i have played online on blazblue, tekken 6, or sf4. Now i made a new PSN for a i can get back to playing with some of u guys. ADD ME : )

It has been a pretty busy week for me. Juggling life, school, work, and help moderating and running a site is extremely tough. It wasn't just a busy week for me, but it was a busy week for all you competitive players out there. 

Super Smash Bros Brawl has finally made it to MLG. A huge congrats in order to the smash community, Brawl didn't look as if it would make it to MLG like Melee did back in the golden days. Yeah, I said "golden days," deal with it! Madden is also staying in the line up this year. But sadly, Gears of War 2 was dropped from this year's line up. 

I bet you are wondering, "What about SF4?" 


Well, SF4 and SSF4 was looked over and didn't make the cut. Sad, but true. You would think the very game that revitalized the fighting/arcade scene would be in MLG. Not only that, SF4/SSF4 is a great spectator sport. Here in southern California, the people that go to the tournaments here are not players at all. They come to have fun and enjoy the good games being played. 

You don't even need to understand the game's top players or what a character's match up is. People see two things. A health bar and winner (or loser.) They know when they see a close match. Or when two good players are playing at their very best. 

So we need YOUR help. You love the scene? You will support SF4/SSF4 to be on MLG. If they make it on the line up, this will open doors to other games possibly (mvc2, BBCS, TvC, ect.)

If
people dont mind sleeping in the same room as 15 other people, it
should be fine. I've done it last year for EVO2009 with like 10 people
from oregon and played Brawl all night, not in a hotel room but at a
friends house. The hotel room will be big enough for like 15.

Regardless
if we get our asses whooped by daigo, justin wong, and all the pros,
(not saying we all suck or anything, just speaking hypothetically) at
least we have something to fall back on and celebrate being in Vegas.
Instead of sulking in your loss and going back home empty handed.

Evo
itself is pretty pricey, but no one should come to Vegas if they got no
$$, its pretty common sense. So start saving up! It gives something to
look forward to this summer.

I'm a little aggravated because I just got new internet so I'm stuck playing Tatsunoko VS Capcom until PSN comes back on.

But for those who are affected,here's what Sony has to say:
Sony said it has pinpointed the problem with its PlayStation
Network that has kept some PlayStation 3 users from playing games on or
offline.

A blog posting on the PlayStation blog
said Sony officials have identified the cause as a bug in the clock
functionality incorporated into the PS3. They said it affects models
older than the newest slim PS3.

A variety of error messages and problems have cropped up including:

• The date of the PS3 system may be re-set to Jan 1, 2000.

• When the user tries to sign in to the PlayStation Network,
the following message appears on the screen; “An error has
occurred. You have been signed out of PlayStation Network
(8001050F)”.

• When the user tries to launch a game, the following error
message appears on the screen and the trophy data may disappear;
“Failed to install trophies. Please exit your game.”

• When the user tries to set the time and date of the system
via the Internet, the following message appears on the screen;
“The current date and time could not be obtained.
(8001050F)”

• Users are not able to play back certain rental videos downloaded from the PlayStation Store before the expiration date.

Sony said it hopes to have the problem resolved in the next 24
hours, but is warning people with the older units not to use their
PS3s. Officials said those who try to use their consoles may have
problems with trophies and not being able to restore certain data.

Sony said there were more than 40 million users in its PlayStation
Network as of last month. There's been no word on how many have been
impacted by the error.

CNN has asked Sony representatives for updates. We’ll let you know as soon as we hear from them.

I lost all my hard earned SF4 trophies which i hope will be restored. If not, FML.

In the world of Street Fighter there are many different styles, realistic and artificial, etc. But out of all of these styles and people who can we say is supreme? Who stands out? Let me pave the way. In no order:


Oro  
 
I belive his character is based on oro oyogomunde the golden god of the west
The ancient mystical Hermit Oro who seeks one worthy enough to adopt his fighting style. He has full mastery over his Ki and only uses one arm to fight to prevent himself from accidently killing his opponents but you may see him use both arms while performing certain super arts. He defeated Ryu in the third world tournament and believes that Ryu is worthy to adopt his fighting style however, if you have played 3S before you will know that at the end of his arcade mode he says that it would take Ryu at least 15 years before he can fight Oro using both his arms. Another interesting factor is the dialogue between Oro and Akuma. Oro says to Akuma 'You claim to be the master of fists... This disturbs me... The road to true mastery is much harder.' Oro is a master and definitely a force to be reckoned with. For me personally Oro vs Akuma is the match I really want to see, Senjitsu Telekenisis vs Satsui no Hado!


Akuma 

Yeah you all knew this was coming. For the title of 'Best of all time' Akuma is the favorite and most renown for being one of the strongest Street Fighters. Shin Akuma embraces the dark side (Satsui no Hado) and uses it freely in combat. He seeks to test his strength and his opponents. So Akuma, unlike bison who would kill you for no reason, will only fight those who are worthy enough to take him on. Regardless of killing his master Gotetsu Akuma displays alot of honor in his fighting. Once when he challenged his brother Gouken after leaving his masters dojo he lost to Gouken and told Gouken to kill him but Gouken spared his life and allowed him to live on. When he was fighting Gen he realized that Gen was weak from his illness and stopped the fight. Also, Akuma was the one who killed Bison and allegedly sent him to Hell until he was resurrected and Oro was impressed with the strength Akuma had attained at his young age. Gouken describes Akuma as a deluded fool and says that in actual fact he is nor man nor demon but a deluded fool. Whether this is true or not none can be certain but still, at his full power Akuma remains the one to beat. 

Gill  

'I am your God' 
The famous quote from Gill himself. Leader of the Illuminati and the so called saviour of mankind. The Illuminati prophecy dictated that the rapture of mankind was imminent:  

'When the sun sets on the Soliton Mountain, the black moon will break into seven pieces and fall on the people 'Ultania'. Nothing can prevent this.... Death and destruction will violate the land. Misery and suffering will assault the people.... Then, after 130 days of nothingness, a boy who controls the elements will come to save the people.' -From the Book of Miraha 3:11-  

and Gill is seen as the messiah and the 'boy who controls the elements'. Gill manipulates fire and ice and his resurrection  super art is truly one of a kind. Other than being the strongest boss in the SF universe so far, Gill is also one of the most powerful and is on par with Oro and Akuma.  

Gouken 

The Brother of the famed Akuma and master of Ryu and Ken. He was thought to be dead by the hands of Akuma but magically returned. Gouken shunned the original ways of the Style he was taught by his master Gotetsu due to it's destructiveness. He refrains from commonly using destructive moves like the shoryuken and has adapted his own style which is a lot more defensive than aggressive. He uses the power of nothingness which makes the user act as exactly that, nothing which prevents certain techniques from being used against him. He too is one of the few to survive the Raging Demon which Akuma used on him. Other than being Ryu and Ken's master and Akuma's brother not much is known about him, but the fact that he can hold his own against his brother proves that he is a force to be reckoned with. 


Gen  

An assassin and master of various kung-fu styles. A friend of Chun-li's father and a trainer of Chun-li. Gen thoroughly seeks worthy opponents regardless of his body's fragile state. After hearing about Akuma he seeks him out and challenges him and although his body is weakened due to it's frailties his manages to survive the Ragging Demon technique by emptying his mind and heart. He catches Akuma with his Zan'ei shadow fist and Akuma was unaffected. Once Akuma realized that Gen wasn't at full strength he stopped the fight. Not many are worthy enough to challenge Akuma and not many are able to survive to Raging Demon while having such a frail body. This proves that Gen is one of the Strongest Street Fighters of all time.


Sagat 



Ryu

So why did I put these two together? Because Sagat is the 'King' and Ryu is the 'Perfect Contender'. The rivalry between these two goes way back. Sagat is the hailing Muay Thai champ and Ryu is trying to become a true warrior. He isn't a master like Gouken or his brother Akuma as he falls victim to the Satsui no Hado from time to time but his strength is admired and he is respected by many. Sagat has the respect of many also. He strives to be as strong as he can and to defeat Ryu. After losing to Ryu, Sagat joined shadoloo to ensure his rematch but later leaves, continuing his training on his own. Sagat as prideful as he is came to accept his defeat from the first world tournament which he hosted even though the scar from Ryu's shoryuken still remains on his chest. Both of these Fighters are powerful but have yet to master themselves. 



Seth

'Become a part of me hehehehe'
The annoying quote from Seth himself. Seth is one of many genetically engineered   beings who was originally created as a replacement for M.Bison. He is the leader of the S.I.N organization, the weapons division of shadoloo and as number 15 the superior being among all 26 Seth's, he wants to control Shadoloo due to his belief of Bison being dead. Seth wishes to complete the BLECE project and in order to do so he needs Ryu, so he hosts a Fighting tournament. He has a Tanden engine which consists of eight trigrams of taoist cosmology containing a yin and yang sphere which is the source of his ability to copy an opponents data and use it freely. By completing the BLECE project he will add to the vast array of techniques he already has. The best techniques from around the world with his intelligence and mobile body make Seth not only a powerful opponent but a well equipt one at that. 



M.Bison
The Leader of Shadoloo and one of the most unique Characters in the Street Fighter universe. M.Bison uses Psycho power which manifests from the raw hatred burning inside him. He gets incarnated/resurrected many times and imposes an excessive amount of longevity. To add to this point Bison says that (in Alpha 3) he has 'taken many names and forms over the centuries' and he has also said that he can never die. Due to these quotes, some believe that Bison may very well be the reincarnation of Gill.

He is Rose's soul mate and she is the representation of his good side. Hence why she says soul power is the only thing that can defeat him and we witness Bison taking something from Rose during her SF4 ending. If she wasn't a threat or of some form of use then M.Bison wouldn't have done anything to her. M.Bison, it is fair to say is the cleverest of all the bad guys/bosees in the SF universe so far and is stronger than the majority of the SF cast. His Final Bison form (or Shin Bison) is worth great consideration. Most of the time Bison is reborn without his full power but this form shows how strong he is when he unleashes his true power. He of late doesn't use the power he d
