First off, Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition finally received its "ver.2012" update that serves as a massive free balance patch to the game. When you boot the game up you should be prompted to download it as a software update.  As a heads-up, this update replaces the original Arcade Edition balancing, meaning you cannot toggle to the original balancing in the options menu. Also some people online have reported that the retail version of Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition has not received this update yet, with any luck this should be remedied soon.

Secondly, Ultimate Marvel vs  Capcom 3's advertised Heroes and Heralds mode is inbound for release on December 19th. Heroes and Heralds mode is a offline and online mode which enables players to side with the Earth or become a herald of Galactus and utilize various cards you can collect in-game to give you various power-ups such as projectile immunity or parrying. There are over 100 cards available in this mode, so it should be interesting to see what they all do.

Just in time for Halloween, Capcom decided to unveil the remaining two Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 characters, complete with character trailers and commentary videos from Capcom's Seth Killian showcasing how they look in action. Here is a small rundown of what to expect from these new characters:

Frank West - The original protagonist of the Dead Rising series is not a stranger to the vs Series, having appeared previously in Tatsunoko vs Capcom. Unfortunately for fans of his Tatsunoko vs Capcom incarnation he appears to be sporting a completely different movelist from his last fighting game appearance, but it looks to have been altered with Dead Rising 2 gameplay mechanics in mind (two of his hyper combos involves combination weapons). He also appears to make use of camera this time around with a "Level Up" power-up, which allows for him to obtain additional weaponry and special moves for each level gained up to the level cap of 4. He also has the ability to drink, which enhances his photography capabilities and the cost of him potentially vomiting at some point, rendering him momentarily vulnerable to the opponents attacks.

Rocket Raccoon - Most people were confused when this character was leaked to be in this game, mainly because only the hardcore comic book fans even knew of him. Despite what one may expect from such a silly looking character, Rocket Raccoon look to be played mostly serious. Right off the bat, Rocket Raccoon is can be labeled as a small and fast weapons expert, making use of various guns with a number of his other weapons appearing to be trap based, such as swinging logs, nets and so forth. As far as maneuverability goes, Rocket Raccoon has such as the ability to burrow, which looks to enable him to avoid most attacks so far as well as gives him a teleport move for the ground(depend on the input from the looks of it), a downward hovering move to slow your decent and lastly the rocket skates which enable him to have more aerial mobility.

Based on what I have seen and heard looking into the character, Rocket Raccoon sounds to be a trap character with various mobility options to keep the distance between the players. While his normal attacks are genrally short ranged in nature, they are primarily there for the sake of comboing rather than being part of his main offensive game.

And with these final two characters reveals out of the way, which of the twelve new character appeals to you the most? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below.

Floe has been posting changes from MvC3 to Ultimate on his Twitter page.

• DHC Glitch and Exchange removed.

• You can now X-factor in the air.

• Phoenix can only have one action per jump... meaning one fireball then she floats down.

• Characters now say something upon entering the screen when the previous character died.

• Many of the returning cast has new moves, or moves that act differently, (Ryu's Hyper Fireball now bounces off of walls, Taskmaster and Spencer are shown with new moves.)

• Ghost Rider has at least 2 special moves that OTG, and his two level one supers appear to OTG. His level 3 super is a grab where he uses the Penance stare on you.

• Strider is the first character to have two level 3 supers, (Ragnarok, and the Ouroboros.) Most of his moveset from Marvel 2 was shown. His robot animal super OTGs.

• Firebrand's level 3 appears to summon a computer controlled doppleganger firebrand to assist.

• Hawkeye's level 3 super OTGs. He fires off Antman, who hits the opponent, then grows in size and gives the opponent the biggest Monty Python boot known to man. Hawkeye has different arrows he can fire depending on the button pressed (frozen shot, poison shot, piercing shot, triple arrow, scatter shot, and net shot are shown.)

• Wolverine's Berserker Slash is not invincible and slower.

• Viewtiful Joe has the "Slow Dodge" move now. It's a special move that's super cancellable. In the Viewtiful Joe games, if you activated Slow and you got attacked, you'd dodge.

• Magneto has a new special move where he sucks you in with magnetism. His air-to-ground dash is slower, though.

• Akuma's Hurricane Kick Assist doesn't knock down anymore, the opponent will flip out.

• Ryu can charge up his fireballs and they fly so quickly you can barely see them on screen. Charging can be done by holding down the button, like in Street Fighter X Tekken. He can also cancel his Fireball into a Shoryuken.
